Summer Linocut Workshop $205
Linocut is a printmaking technique that uses a sheet of linoleum as the relief surface. The negative space in the design are cut out of the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge. The uncut areas represent form a mirror image of the print image. Once the design is cut out, the linoleum sheet is inked with a roller and then impressed onto paper or fabric.
The Linocut Workshop is open to all skill level from Beginner to advanced. Learn methods of transferring your idea to the block, cutting the blocks, and how to add a additional color support block and how to print it print it. The printing will be by hand or on a 1920 Poco letterpress. All you need to bring is a good idea for a good image. If you have your own tools, bring them.
